ANNE LEDING

ADL STUDIOS
A very early memory as Anne was growing
up; she dragged an old coffee table from the attic to her bedroom
where she set up all of her crayons, coloring books, paper and watercolors
(her first drawing table). As she pulled up her little chair, she
thought, (in her child's mind) ...she was officially "an artist".
The basics of watercolor painting
were taught to her by her aunt, who in her own right, was a seasoned
watercolorist. As a child, she used to sit for hours in 'Aunt Jeannie's'
studio and watch her paint. Even today, watercolor remains her favorite
medium.
Her professional artist career actually
started at age seven with winning a city wide school poster contest.
In high school, she received a letter of recognition for her art work
from SEVENTEEN magazine.
She studied as a fine arts major in
a small college in her home town in Arkansas, at Memphis State University
and a stint at the Memphis Academy of Arts. Her background embraces
illustration, graphic design, typography, painting, silk screen, stained
glass, and set design as well as sixteen years of combined studies
of piano, violin, and classical guitar, which she has taught throughout
her college years and beyond, but in order to satisfy her soul, she
was always drawn back to her painting.
